Life is full of obstacles, and most of us don't have the energy or desire to face those obstacles - for a variety of reasons. Some of these reasons will seem obvious to you, and some will change the foundations of the way you see yourself and your life.
1. Stop blaming yourself for the way you feel and the things you haven't done.
2. Start making lifestyle changes that increase your energy and give you a positive outlook.
My RTFM system is a complete set of tools for regaining energy and creating a positive outlook, allowing you to be your happiest, healthiest, most fulfilled self.
RTFM is the culmination of my life's (so far) work on studying fitness, human performance, human nature, sleep, and nutrition.
The order of RTFM is a critical part of the secret sauce, it is essential to approach your journey in this order.
Rest - Sufficient rest is the single most important thing you can do for your health, happiness, productivity, longevity, and anything you want to achieve.
Think- The way you think about yourself, your capabilities, and what you deserve will inform your willingness and ability to treat yourself well, to take the time and effort to do things that improve the quality of your life.
Fuel - What we eat is intrinsically linked to our well-being. Food affects our mood, energy levels, ability to think and remember, and of course fuels us for adventures.
Move - You might be surprised that the owner of CrossFit and Parkour gyms has “Move” last on the list, but this is where it belongs. Movement and challenge are essential to physical health. Strength, Mobility, and our ability to move allow us to enjoy the world around us. That said, you cannot out train poor sleep, you cannot move well if you have not provided sufficient fuel, and you will not choose to move if you do not Think you are worth it, or have the motivation to be physically fit.
The How. While I’d love to say, “Follow these three easy steps for a completely fulfilling life,” that’s just not real. The RTFM system is available through personal life coaching with me. This is a holistic approach, working together as you build habits that will change the trajectory of your life.
What takes place is a series of changes to your routines, thoughts, and habits that lead you to a happy place where you want to make healthier decisions, see the value of yourself, and genuinely want to celebrate and honor yourself.
